As a project manager at Use-Lab, Alexander Arendt helps apply various methods and conducts studies to assess and optimize medical devices and products. Alexander particularly manages international projects between Germany and The Netherlands, with a focus on user-centered design.

Alexander studied psychology at the University of Twente in Enschede. He completed his Master's degree in human factors ergonomics and cognitive psychological engineering in 2017. For his master’s thesis he researched VR-simulation of laparoscopic surgery. This got him interested in ergonomics and usability of medical devices.

Usability, human-machine-interaction as well as user-centered design are Alexander’s favorite topics.

During his education, Alexander had the chance to design and conduct qualitative and quantitative studies, sometimes in inter-disciplinary teams.

Alexander has been part of the Use-Lab team since 2018. His current projects include studies concerning diabetes applications and medical imaging.
