As a project manager, Anna Ossege always has the optimization of medical devices regarding usability aspects in mind. This includes especially the analysis and evaluation in different development stages, as well as the execution and interpretation of user studies.

Anna Ossege joined Use-Lab in 2011. Anna has a Bachelor of Sciences in Physical Engineering and a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Muenster University of Applied Sciences.

Before her studies, Anna completed a course of training as a Biomedical Assistant at the Rhine education center in Cologne. As part of that training she learned medical and laboratory basics and completed practical nursing training.
In the course of stays abroad, she gained insights into hospital workflows in Africa and in Australia.

Since joining Use-Lab, Anna has conducted several international usability studies on different kinds of medical devices.

She has particular expertise in the analysis and development of accompanying documents for medical products. This includes but is not limited to user manuals and materials for training. For her master thesis she evaluated the influence of individual training methodologies and the frequency of training on usability studies. Recent project experiences include human factors studies with various diabetes applications and combination products for application in clinical environments as well as in home care. She also recently conducted research on devices used in ICU settings.
