As a project manager at Use-Lab, Stephanie Schwenke applies insights from cognitive psychology to understand users and is responsible for the development of questionnaires and interview guidelines for usability studies.

Stephanie initially became interested in biomedical engineering while studying at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. She completed a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and information technology with a focus on biomedical engineering in 2010.

After completing this degree, Stephanie realized that she was more interested in how people worked than how electrons did. In 2013 she graduated from the University of Freiburg with a Bachelor of Science and had won insights into designing studies and how people think, communicate, perceive and act. To bring both of her lines of study together, Stephanie did her Master's work in cognitive science at the University of Freiburg, graduating in 2015. During this time she gained additional hands-on experience in study planning and design; in questionnaire construction; and in data collection and analysis; she was also able to gain further insight into cognitive processes.

At Use-Lab Stephanie applies her experience in study design and insights into cognitive processes to the various stages of diverse studies. When the design permits, she also puts her background in statistical analysis to use.

Stephanie has been a member of the Use-Lab team since 2015. Some of her recent project included combination products and new software implementations. She has also recently worked on empirical studies, including marketing claims, on different products.
