In addition to established services such as requirement analysis, user interface design and formative and summative evaluations in compliance with international human factor standards, Use-Lab has gained expertise in the planning and execution of marketing claims substantiation studies over the past few years.

The goal of these studies is to verifiy certain marketing claims, which are, for example, related to performance of a medical device. If marketing claims are used incorrectly the FDA can release a warning letter, just like for faulty devices.

In 2018 Use-Lab planned and execuded a marketing claims substantiation study of the Philips Aurion FlexArm. For this study Philips released a whitepaper.
