Within the DAME-project (“Deep Learning Algorithms for Medical Imaging Evaluation”) Use-Lab collaborates with Radiologie Westmünsterland from Bocholt, the Carl-von-Ossietzky university in Oldenburg as well as COSMONiO from Groningen and the UMC Groningen on the development of a safe and user-friendly deep learning-algorithm for automatic analysis of medical imaging data. Use-Lab could identify the human factors that play a role for appropriate reliance on such algorithms through user needs analysis and extensive literature research. They were able to give recommendations for user training and interaction design on this groundwork. The results were presented in a mini webinar, which was made available online through Data Science Center in Health (“DASH”) of UMCG.
